This position is suited for an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) with a strong working knowledge of structural steel codes, including AWS D1.1, and a proven ability to perform independent field inspections. Responsibilities include verifying WPS compliance, reviewing welder qualifications (WQTRs), performing visual inspections of welds, monitoring fit-up and joint preparation, and documenting inspections in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
